Happy Wednesday! Please meet Tubby Boswell Wags.
This little lad was born a few months ago while I was experimenting with some different head sculpts and trying to be a little looser with my designs. (I'm particularly prone to trying too hard to make things perfect and I'm never happy with the results when things get overworked!) Wags just sort of happened and I rather like his odd little look! What do you think? Does he remind you of anyone?
I'm totally in love with vintage Einco Tubby Puppies and Fifi Cats which I discovered just last year so I was pleasantly surprised to see quite a resemblance in little Wags, And I didn't even realize what I was doing! Wow, the subconscious can be quite strong!
If you'd like to see some original Einco cuties, Petit Chaton is a lovely place to see darling pictures of their puppies and kitties. Enjoy!
I'll leave you with a few more photos of Mr. Tubby Boswell Wags.
Vivia wanted you to see what she she looks like when she wears her dress reversed. She's all ready for a tea party!
I posted some new views of her at her auction, too!
I forgot to give credit to the photographer of my new Galli bears. It's Vivianne herself! Her bear photos are always quite lovely.
If you haven't seen any of Vivianne's work you absolutely must take a little trip over to her blog, Gotta share this!, and her beautiful website, Hug MeAgain! You'll be in for a treat! The bears are wonderfully winsome and her workmanship is incredible. Vivianne has been a dear friend - so warm, caring and helpful - (Hi, Viv!) and I feel quite fortunate to have met her. :0) And, I confess, I'm totally smitten with her bears. In fact, here's a pair of her friends that came to live with me a few days ago... Love, love, love!
I made a huge mistake in Vivia's auction listing yesterday. In my excitement to list her I apparently wasn't careful enough in double checking my entries and the shipping information came up as available to ship only in the U.S.! I spent over two hours trying to correct the problem but there was a glitch somewhere in the page which even eBay Live Help couldn't correct. So.... poor little Vivia has been relisted here. There were so many who contacted me about the possibility of shipping to Europe that it just seemed like I should make the shipping possibilities clear rather than disappoint anyone.I apologize to those who had already placed bids and I hope you will think about trying again. :0)
Hello, dear friends! I just wanted you to know that little Vivia is looking for a new bear mom with her own auction on eBay. Please look for her here! Her auction has a "gentle" starting point so please take a moment to stop by and visit her. :0) The warmer weather here has made me a bit silly with the thought of Spring!
Needles and thread have been busy here in the studio so look for a new face or two in a few days.
See you soon!
p.s. The little goats are growing so quickly! I can't believe they're just over a week old. So sorry I haven't gotten any new pics of them - I'll try harder, I promise!
Hello, dear friends! I just realized that I hadn't posted a link to my website. Silly old me... Please be warned - it's still undergoing significant changes but I'll get it right sooner or later. (I hope.) Take a look if you're feeling brave! www.sweetsoulsbears.com
The bear girls and I are a wee bit late... so sorry :0( I always seem to underestimate the time needed to load photos!
Lala, Vivia and Poppy will appear in my etsy shop in just a few minutes. I hope you'll stop by to visit and let me know what you think!
Have a sweet day!
