Happy Wednesday! Please meet Tubby Boswell Wags. 
This little lad was born a few months ago while I was experimenting with some different head sculpts and trying to be a little looser with my designs. (I'm particularly prone to trying too hard to make things perfect and I'm never happy with the results when things get overworked!)  Wags just sort of happened and I rather like his odd little look!  What do you think?  Does he remind you of anyone?

I'm totally in love with vintage Einco Tubby Puppies and Fifi Cats which I discovered just last year so I was pleasantly surprised to see quite a resemblance in little Wags,  And I didn't even realize what I was doing!  Wow, the subconscious can be quite strong!

vivia relisted - around the globe this time

I made a huge mistake in Vivia's auction listing yesterday.  In my excitement to list her I apparently wasn't careful enough in double checking my entries and the shipping information came up as available to ship only in the U.S.!  I spent over two hours trying to correct the problem but there was a glitch somewhere in the page which even eBay Live Help couldn't correct. So.... poor little Vivia has been relisted here.  There were so many who contacted me about the possibility of shipping to Europe that it just seemed like I should make the shipping possibilities clear rather than disappoint anyone.I apologize to those who had already placed bids and I hope you will think about trying again. :0)

storks are unpredictable

Thank you for being so understanding about the emergency last week!  I wasn't planning to post about the details but there have been so many babies appearing on your wonderful blogs that I thought you might understand. 

Last week my youngest sister went to have a routine ultrasound in her sixth month of pregnancy and the technician couldn't find a heartbeat.  The fetus had failed to thrive for unknown reasons.  Her pregnancy had been quite uneventful and all had been progressing exactly as expected.  It's been so difficult to process.  My sister actually seems to be recovering quite well physically and emotionally but I'm having trouble ridding myself of image of her getting this devastating news and how she must have felt.  It's been a bit haunting.

But... the stork did bring some babies of a different sort to distract us.    
Four little white pygmy goats were born in the barn yesterday.  Minnie Molly and Dolly, who are twins, each delivered a set of twins.  They look exactly like the baby in the picture. ( I'll try to get some photos of the real babies tomorrow.)  They each weigh between one and a half and two pounds - tiny!  And their mothers are so devoted... it's so reassuring to watch them together and to know that the spirit of life  and love remain strong.
